Early this morning the White House released the Trump administration’s budget for the 2018 FY. Entitled, “A New Foundation For American Greatness,” the budget aims to increase GDP by 3% over 10 years. Cutting social program spending is at the core of the budget along with defense increases and an allocation of $1.6 billion to build a security “wall” along the United States-Mexico border. Programs named in the plan’s budget reductions include Medicaid and the Children’s Health Insurance Program.
