How many years have you been in the industry?
18 years.

Why do you believe that the managed market operations is so important within the industry?  

In the past just having the product covered was good enough.  However, today MCO’s are challenged to manage the increasing cost of health care and are thus motivated to put restrictions on access.  Generating the right clinical and outcomes data to limit restrictions, and understanding the right contracting strategies are critical elements to providing the best quality access possible to make it easy for physicians and patients to use the product.  The managed markets operation is critical to this end.

What do you hope attendees will take away from your presentation, workshop or panel discussion?

Understand the management of the medical benefit, and how a pharma company can make it easier for physicians, patients and payers.

What inspires your passion and/or interest for managed markets/managed care and/or healthcare?   

I am passionate about marketing products that truly change people’s lives, and working with clinical and outcomes data that prove the value of the product to the health plan.
