Impending Serialization Requirements and End-to-End Visibility Major Discussion Focus at Second Annual Meeting


(Chicago, IL) – By popular request, the Pharmaceutical Supply Chain Management Conference is back with the biggest names from all corners of the industry presenting valuable information on the most time-sensitive topics.  This year, more than a dozen experts from small, midsize and large companies will be on hand for in-depth discussions and networking specifically catered towards pharmaceutical executives.


The conference will be held October 9-10, 2014 in New Orleans, Louisiana and offer attendees two days of idea sharing and session discussion on topics ranging from technology influence on pharmaceutical counterfeiting to collaborative efforts through communication and system integration.  Speakers on this year’s agenda include David Kinrade of Abbvie, Aaron Graham of Boehringer Ingelheim, and Sivakumar Chinniah of Wockhardt USA.


Unique to this event is representation and an exclusive perspective from outside industries related to the pharmaceutical supply chain space.  Peter Requa of Southwest Airlines will provide insight on how the aeronautical industry can work with extended supply networks and how pharmaceutical executives can implement best practices into their supply lines to accomplish supply chain goals.  Lisa Santana Fox of the U.S. Customs and Border Protection will conduct an in-depth discussion on customs regulations for the importation and exportation of controlled substances to ensure a compliant and uninterrupted supply chain.  These sessions will offer a never-before-seen look into related components of the pharmaceutical supply chain industry and open the floor to best practices and procedures moving forward.
