According to the San Francisco Business Times, “Medtronic PLC, a medical tech company based in Dublin, Ireland, has nabbed Redwood City’s privately held Twelve Inc. for as much as $458 million, in a deal expected to close in October.  Twelve, which makes mitral valve replacement devices, was earlier spun out of The Foundry, a medical device incubator, as its 12th progeny.
