Medtronic will complete the purchase of Covidien in early 2015, according to documents filed with the Securities & Exchange Commission. At the close of the transaction, the Covidien Group will function with the exception of its Peripheral and Neurovascular businesses, with the peripheral vascular business being integrated into Medtronic’s Aortic and Peripherals businesses.
