Sharing Best Practices and Comprehensive Strategies for Building Strong Partnerships between Diagnostics & Pharmaceutical Companies to Further the Commercialization of Diagnostic Tests in Today’s Healthcare Industry

July 11-12, 2011 | Millbrae, California

ABOUT THE CONFERENCE

While there is much discussion and hype surrounding the value and importance of furthering the integration of personalized medicine within healthcare systems throughout the world, in order to realize the dream and vision of personalized medicine, diagnostic tests must be fully partnered with these new and unique therapies. Creating strong partnerships with pharmaceutical and biotechnology corporations in order to develop tests in tandem with therapy development has long been a challenge for diagnostic corporations, who face a much different set of challenges in bringing their products to market.

From funding to reimbursement considerations, diagnostic companies are taking much greater risks in developing companion diagnostic tests, something that is often lost on larger pharmaceutical corporations. Unlike many of the personalized medicine conferences currently available, the Q1 conference will continue to focus on the perspective of the diagnostic company; with topics focused on challenges across the board; from attracting partners, contracting and IP considerations, to sessions focused on case studies of companies that have successfully partnered with pharmaceutical companies throughout the lifecycle of personalized medicines. With a well rounded speaker roster including diagnostic, pharmaceutical and biotechnology companies, this program will encompass the entire vision of personalized medicine, bringing it to life.
